In June of this year, Mr. Szczechowski
undertook another assessment of this threatened species on
the Detroit River. |
He noted many
nesting pair of this species. Pictures here one several
dozen nesting pairs at the two sites on the Trenton Channel
of the Detroit River. |

Along with visual inspection
of the area, Mr. Szczechowski coordinated banding of the chicks
as part of a long term monitoring. |

Lastly, is the proud parents
nesting on the habitat which Mr. Szczechowski created as part
of his Masters Thesis dealing with the plight of the Common
Tern. |
