Threatened Species - Common Tern Study
In June of this year, Mr. Szczechowski undertook another assessment of this threatened species on the Detroit River.
He noted many nesting pair of this species. Pictures here one several dozen nesting pairs at the two sites on the Trenton Channel of the Detroit River.
Along with visual inspection of the area, Mr. Szczechowski coordinated banding of the chicks as part of a long term monitoring.

Lastly, is the proud parents nesting on the habitat which Mr. Szczechowski created as part of his Masters Thesis dealing with the plight of the Common Tern.
